(Oikos Gathering) Inward

The NOMAD Oikos Gatherings are our humble attempt at utilizing methodologies from the more organic church gathering models of missional living into a more hybrid church gathering model. Oikos Gatherings are the missional community expressions of the larger NOMAD family. These gatherings are made up of small groups of the NOMAD family and are focused on intentionally doing life together for a kingdom purpose. We call the leaders of this Oikos Gatherings ‘Missional Sherpas’ who serve as the ‘parents’ for the gathering. These Oikos gatherings participate in teaching, learning, community, service and outreach both to one another and outwardly to their local community space.

What to Expect:

-Oikos Gatherings serve as a place for the NOMAD family to live out their faith in more intimate community with one another.

-Oikos Gatherings do not replace the more holistic communal gatherings at NOMAD but rather supplement them in a way that allows for more intentional and nimble kingdom living.

-Oikos Gatherings are cultivate with the idea that they are a great place for the NOMAD family as well as an onramp for those we are trying to impact for the Kingdom.

-Oikos Gatherings are not intended to be permeant gatherings of the same people year after year, but rather a space that disciples believers and mobilizes them in their spiritual gifts to eventual replicate into new NOMAD missional communities.
